There has been a multitude of missing objects lately. I’ve lost my sanity and some patience….Sean has ‘misplaced’ his house keys, Chris has lost too much sleep and today Tom lost his wallet.
Ok well as it turns out my loss of sanity was temporary as was my patience, the keys so far are AWOL but I still hold out some hope, Chris has had the internet plug pulled on him at 10 bells EXACTLY each night and Tom’s wallet?
Poor Tommy, he phoned me all flustered trying to remember when he last saw it and thinking now it was in the hands of some nefarious creature.
The bonus is I could take a look and see nothing had taken place on our credit cards that wasn’t our own activity and they are easy enough to block. The pain would have come when it came time to get the ID back and everyone always has a few odds and ends in their wallet that they can’t quite remember were there and ya stress.
Tom had to scramble for some change for parking etc and head off to work not knowing the fate of the little leather guy. When we talked he mentioned that he had checked a pair of jeans in the laundry hamper before he left and I said “Ah but you weren’t wearing jeans” “EXACTLY he said, he didn’t check the right pants. I was going to make it my prime-A#1 first stop when I got home and then realized uhh duhhh Sean is home so I asked him to check for me and *cue the horns blaring* … he found it.
PHEW!!!
Another turn of events is my Mom has JUST got back from Scotland (as of last night) and her landlady informed her that she’s selling the Condo my Mom’s living in and she has to find a new place. UCK!!! Here we go again!!
Her friends Chris and Frank have offered to help find a place for her, perhaps closer to where they live in White Rock. They were living in her building but moved out while she was away. Would be cool for her if she could get into their building but I’m doubting it.
Ah well just another challenge. Means we have some heavy lifting to do again and this time not all within the same building like her last move. Those kinds are the best. Tom and I did all the moving ourselves as well as most of the packing/unpacking. I’m stronger than I thought I was. Hurt like crap after it though. I’m hoping we will get some more help this time!!
Well I’m off tomorrow, it’s Sean’s last consultation before he gets the braces on. He’s nervous, I can understand why to some degree as this is a long term thing, two years may go by quickly for an adult but to a kid it can seem endless, especially one with metal in their mouth.
Hopefully it will go well and we can get the ball rolling finally. Get them on faster, get them off faster.
